Dermal Treatment

When your skin is looking tired and worn, sometimes creams and cleansers just won’t do the job of restructuring the cells so that you look younger and refreshed. At Amirova Cosmetic Clinic, we work with our patients to first address all skin care concerns in the face, neck, décolletage and anywhere on the body that they would like rejuvenated. While many of the surface treatments may simply wake up your cells to begin recycling old ones and bring in the new, we often recommend starting from scratch with our Microdermabrasion and Microhydradermabrasion in Sydney. If you’re in the mood to love your skin and your look following our gentle and trending treatments, you’ll be mesmerised by your skin and how you feel afterward.

The purpose of Microdermabrasion and Microhydrabrasion is to remove the most superficial layers of the skin through a mechanical and controlled exfoliation procedure performed with a diamond tip. This stimulates skin cell rejuvenation and increases collagen production. The more we look into the condition of the skin in phases as we age, it’s important that we not only work on the superficial side but those layers beneath that lay dormant and unattended.
Microdermabrasion and Microhydrabrasion are employed to treat hyperpigmentation, improve skin texture, open-pore reduction, to reduce fine lines and wrinkles. Your skin will shine on like the diamond you are after these treatments. Our wet dermabrasion will hydrate your skin to quench the years of thirsty cells that need moisture to survive and maintain your youthful appearance.

ur Amirova Cosmetic Clinic specialist in Sydney will outline a treatment plan tailored to your needs during the complimentary initial consultation, and also lay out pre-treatment and post-treatment care instructions. The individual skin type, genetic pre-disposition, and post-treatment home maintenance will determine the final result. It’s important to understand that these skin care treatments have to be supported at home so that you can avoid cell degeneration to reduce future ageing.

It is essential not to receive any anti-wrinkle and dermal filler treatments in the last two weeks or have any other dermal or skin treatment in the last seven days. As a matter of fact, it’s much better to let your skin begin the next steps in resurfacing naturally as the newly exposed skin is nourished with the skin care plan we’ve given you in consultation to bring out the best.

  • Mild skin irritation or inflammation
  • Transient redness (erythema)
  • Flaking

To minimise the risk of infection and scarring it is vital that you try not to pick or scratch your face for at least 48 hours post-procedure. Please follow the customised product-care regimen advised by your clinic specialist at Amirova Cosmetic Clinic.

Makeup may be used 24 hours after the procedure when the skin has recovered. Using makeup on broken skin poses a possible risk of skin darkening (hyperpigmentation) as a result of infiltration of makeup into the open tissue. There is also a potential risk of bacterial infection and inflammation of the treated area.

Alpha-Hydroxy Acids (AHA), Beta-Hydroxy Acids (BHA) and Vitamin A can be used to soften and superficially resurface the epidermis but only after approximately 72 hours of the treatment when the skin has totally recovered from the procedure. Avoid using any exfoliating or harsh products for a minimum of seven days post-MDA & MHA.

For the best possible results, six treatments are recommended, with a two-week interval in between each treatment. For ongoing maintenance, we recommend a course of chemical peels every six months individually selected for your skin type by your Amirova Cosmetic Clinic specialist. Also, your skin care specialist at Amirova will provide a list of surface creams and cleansers to help you maintain your look between other skin care treatments. Whatever your skin care concerns are, we will address these in our pre and post-treatment plans.
